Private or shared access? Check account conditions and device limits
Know which questions to ask about access, devices, renewal and restrictions before selecting a subscription.
Updated:
What is the difference between private and shared access?
These labels describe how a particular plan is offered. They do not establish a universal rule for every service. Read the selected plan’s account type and limitations to understand who may use it and which actions are allowed.
A “private” label should not be interpreted as permission to resell or share access. A “shared” label does not mean unlimited simultaneous use. The stated plan conditions and the service provider’s rules still matter.
Which device questions should I ask?
Check the supported platforms, the number of allowed devices and any simultaneous-use restrictions. Device count, logged-in devices and concurrent use can be different limits. If those details are not stated, ask support before purchasing.
- Is my device and region supported?
- How many devices may use the selected plan?
- Are there restrictions on simultaneous use or switching devices?
- Is activation on my own account required?
Can I renew, change the password or get a replacement?
Review renewal information, important notices and any published replacement conditions for the exact plan. Do not assume that password changes, account ownership transfers or automatic renewal are included.
For support or a refund question, contact the shop with your order reference. Ask for the applicable written terms before purchasing if a condition has not been published clearly. Never give support an unrelated mailbox password or a one-time sign-in code.
